Candidates Focus on Taxes
Mayor Bob Chiarelli says he will cap annual property tax increases at 1.8 per cent - just below the rate of inflation.
He also says his record speaks for itself and that during his tenure as mayor and regional chair taxes have been frozen five times and met the rate of inflation three times.
Candidate Alex Munter has promised to cap annual tax increases at the rate of inflation.
Candidate Larry O'Brien says if elected, he will not raise taxes during the four year term.
